The team’s T-Shirt cannon was a project created by the students during the off-season. The cannon is a backpack that contains a battery and compressor which pressurizes an air tank mounted on the back. Attached to the backpack is the barrel which gets loaded with a t-shirt to be shot. For safety reasons, the air tank is only pressurized to 60 psi, however, this is still enough for venues such as the high school gymnasium.
A few years later, the team also created a t-shirt ‘Gatling gun’ which is a 6 barreled canon mounted onto a robot drive base. This Gatling gun is capable of shooting 6 t-shirts in quick succession, rotating a new t-shirt into place after each shot.
